Last year set the bar. This year raises it.
The first Big Sing started as a simple idea — get primary schools singing at Christmas and put real money into their school funds. It grew faster than anyone expected: over 40 schools entered, families and neighbours cast 50,000 verified votes, and the winning performances were watched across the region. Every penny of the £5,000 prize fund went straight to the schools.
For 2026 the prize fund doubles to £10,000. The format stays the same, because it worked: schools record any Christmas song they like, communities vote for their favourites, and the most loved performances go to the judging panel. If your school missed out last year, this is the year to enter.
